Reduction of manmade pressure on coniferous forest and river plane forest plots, containing species included into Red Book of Kyrgyzstan by ensuring energy need of inhabitants of Juuku tract thorugh installation of renewable sources of energy (mini Hydro Power station, solar collectors) and plantation of fast growing trees in the forest and steppe belt of southern slope of Teskey Alatoo, being a part of ?Issykkyl Biosphere Territory?
This project is going be a demostrative project. The NGO during the course of the project is going to promote alternative types of energy resources (solar collector, mini hydro electric stations, and biogas devices). Due to the dependancy of the local population on traditional energy resouces the nearest area has been damaged and there is threat to biodiversity. The project staff is planning to organize community reserve, construct greenhouses and pant trees. Also to demonstrate the utilization of the abovementioned devices the NGO will reconstruct the mini hydro electric stations. The project will be supported with information campaign.
