Social/Cultural Impact (Empowerment, Changes in Attitude):

Social impacts resulting from the EIA project in the area result in the formation of a social local entity to protect the environment of the lake and surrounding villages.

Environmental impact

The impact from implementing the EIA in the area is only evident in the public policy area and no significant impact is observed on the environment in the area.

Economic impact

Based on the evaluation report for the past year the project to restructure the tourism for Avan has resulted in 100 to 700% increase in land prices. The project has not had any economic impact in the area.

Suggestions from local community and stakeholders for further effectiveness of project accomplishments and its sustainability

1) Observing environmental considerations in proposals initiated by the province
2) Defining the capacity for accepting tourists
3) Establishing centers for services, welfare and security with participation of local community
