Local Cerrado populations will be mapped in the states of Goiás, Tocantins, Minas Gerais, Mato Grosso and Mato Grosso do Sul. Discussions about importance of these traditional populations for conservation of the Cerrado biome will be promoted. The project further hopes to demonstrate that the Cerrado has a wide variety of environments, cultures and lifestyles.
