This project made direct contributions to creation of two tourism routes which were very important for improvement of organization in the regions surrounding the Serra dos Pirineus State Park, integrating municipalities and local Cerrado conservation initiatives. One of the results was coordination of the establishment of a network of proprietors of Natural Heritage Private Reservations (Reservas Particulares do Patrimônio Natural ? RPPNs) in the surroundings of Serra dos Pirineus State Park.

One more training course for guides in RPPNs will be held in December.

Project activities such as exchange of information among regional landowners were very successful, resulting in 12 new RPPN creation initiatives

Updated management plan for Flor das Águas RPPN in Pirenópolis;
Improved structures in some RPPNs, e.g. trails, training and capacity-building center;
Brochures and other information material for visitors;
Training for local guides including discussions about routes and trails in the areas surrounding the state park;
Creation of the RPPN Proprietor Network;
New trails established in the region.
