Demonstration of Inovative Methods of Reduction of Water Bodies Eutrophication and Improvement of their Ecosystems. Planing grant
The NGO is preparing full-size project on testing of the innovative technology for the reduction of the nutrients in the waterbodies. The nutrients absorption capacities of the calamus will be used: special floats will be constructed, banks of the waterbodies will be planted with calamus as well. The testing will be done in 3 waterbodies in Salcininkai district. The local communities will be actively involved into implementation of the project.
However the scientific justification for the selection of the waterbodies was insufficient. The planning grant will be used for the scientific justification of the planned activities. The following expertise documents will be developed: 1) Methodology of the monitoring and evaluation of the experiment and preparation of the recommendations based on the experiment?s results; 2) Scientific justification for the selection of water-bodies for the implementation of the experiment.
