River Nile Protection
Working towards conservation of the River Nile; Egypt?s primary source of water. The project works with the Bahr Youssef community to recycle water hyacinth from the Nile, using it to produce paper products. This will provide a source of sustainable income for the community. Capacity building and training activities are also promoted, ensuring long-term sustainability after the project ends. This will be complimented by a series of meetings which will encourage community participation and raise awareness of environmental issues.
