1. The project will reduce women workload of searching for fuel wood, production of nutritious food items will be from within the community area so reduced costs of searhing for them and expected reduced costs.

1.Emphasis on zero grazing, bee keeping and trees multiplication aims at improving the community livelihood 2. With the knowledge that the communities will obtain from this project, when put in practice they will contribute significantly to the improvement of their livelihood especially by selling their products.

At least 50% of the farmers receiving the dairy cows will be women or women groups. 8.This project has a wide capacity building component whereby farmers are trained in various areas such as bee keeping, fish farming,horticultural farming,zero grazing,construction and use of energy friendly stoves, tree nursery management as well as training to environmental committee members on planning, implementation and evaluation of their village planned activities.

1.Public awareness will be promoted by the trainings that will be conducted in the project area. All these will contribute towards conservation of Lake Victoria, an international water body.
