Utilizing solarization to restore agricultural soil fertility in 300 greenhouses in Mawassi Rafah and Khan Younis in South of Gaza
Utilizing solarization to restore agricultural soil fertility in 300 greenhouses in Mawassi Rafah and Khan Younis in the South of Gaza. The project will contribute to overcoming the remarkable degradation of the agricultural soil fertility due to the excessive use of chemical pesticides. It will also enhance farmers? capacities to apply biodiversity safe techniques such as soil solarization through organizing training for 300 female and male farmers who own greenhouses in both Mawassi Rafah and Khan-Younis in the South of Gaza. In collaboration with the local community committees, 300 nylon rolls for solarization will be distributed to 300 farmers. Ultimately, the project will contribute to reducing the production coasts, increasing farmer?s income, ensuring safe products, and restoring soil fertility.
