Protecting Agro-biodiversity in Al-Mawassi area though utilizing alternative agricultural methods
Protecting agro biodiversity in Al-Mawassi area through utilizing alternative agricultural methods. The project will contribute to raising the awareness on 65 farmers in the use for safe agricultural methods such as bees, garlic, and pepper as an agro-biodiversity and human friendly methods. Such a method will substitute chemical protection methods such as Bromide methyl, Penleat, Tayonex, Tnroun, Toumest in Mawassi Al Agha, Al Laham, Al Najar in Khan- Younis areas and Mawassi Al Shtouf, Zou?rob in Rafah in south of Gaza. To restore one of the domesticated plants in the Mediterranean Coast, the project will distribute 1800 of Guava seedlings among 15 farmers in the area. The project will restore the weakened capacity of the farmers due to the long lasting occupation of five years.
