Empowering Communities and NGOs to Practice and Promote Sustainable Land Use and Biodiversity Conservation
Planning Grant in support of future Biodiversity Cnservation project.

This grant will be used to support community participation in the design and development of NJCA?s proposal, Empowering Communities and NGOs to Practise and Promote Sustainable Land Use and Biodiversity Conservation, primarily through the medium of the St. Ann Parish Development Committee (PDC).
The grant will also support technical assistance to guide and document stakeholders? contributions and ensure their inclusion in the full proposal, and cover some administrative expenses.

How the funds will be used:
1. To provide travel allowances of J$400 per person to designated representatives of the PDC member groups to attend two planning sessions (one PDC meeting and one larger planning workshop)
2. To fund a Strategic Planning Workshop for the St. Ann PDC towards increasing its capacity and effectiveness as a multi-stakeholder advisory body to the St. Ann Parish Council
3. To provide for technical assistance in the preparation of materials, the facilitation of the preparatory meeting and the workshop, reporting and proposal-writing.
4. To cover the cost of materials and supplies and provide a contribution to NJCA towards the travel and communications expenses of the project manager.
