The project was the first effort to bring together rural women outside of their everday environment where they activelyand collectivley explored areas of common concern. Experts and officials participating in the workshop choose to behave as passive spectators of a bottom-up initiative. The project included training of experts to become facilitators of the w/shops, identification of participants for w/shops including rural women and gov/ agency representatives as well as NGOs, organisation and eventual evaluation of workshops in Sout-East Anatolia and Black Sea regions.
More than 100 rural women participated int the activities in which they identified their priority social and environmental problems, as well as their proposed solutions.
