Publication of 6,000 introductory booklet on NTFPs provides an opportunity to beneficiaries to learn about the importance of NTFPs conservation and appropriate technique to cultivate NTFPS. Furthermore, about 5,000 seedlings of different forest products and fruits have been distributed to local people. This has promoted the NTFPs cultivation and promotion resulting in the sustainable management and income generation. Development of greenery, land stabilization and enhancement of local bio-diversity conservation in the project area through multi-purpose tree species like Bel, Ritha, Amala, other forest products and fruit trees like mango, banana planted in private land of the beneficiaries groups (4 CFUGs) will protect the forest and marginal land ecosystem so that the natural habitat of NTFPs and wildlife are undisturbed and protected within the forest ecosystem. Similarly, it will contribute to reduce the effect of global climate change in a long term even in a small scale.

Before the initiation of the project, people had little knowledge on Chiuri ghee but since the implementation of project, people have started commercial production of Chiuri ghee. Within the four month, Ram Bdr Bista, a local farmer sold 700 kg of chiuri ghee earning 58,050.00. Likewise, for the commercial production of Bel juice, 7,000 bottles were provided to Nawa Durga Juice Production Group, a CBO formed for the sustainable production and management of Bel juice in project area. The formation of group had institutionalized the commercial production and marketing which is increasing the livelihood of local people. This group earns NRs. 3,500 to 4,000 in a day. 15 household are engaged in the group and are accordingly benefited. In the same way, a 55 beds hospital and a school have been established in the program area, which are benefiting the whole people of Far Western Development Region.
