The project was successful in stabilizing landslide at Kadesh (which lies below Gaja forest), conserving the Gaza lake at the top of Gaza mountain. The Kadesh landslide has eroded 8.3 hectares of land, had displaced 9 houses and 5 animal-sheds and damaged approximately 150 ropanis of cultivable land. Likewise, it also hampered 3 springs, out of which one spring was completely blocked. The landslide also disrupted trail route which connect Lekahani with other VDCs such as Damek Resha. With the support from local people, the project is successful in constructing Gabion wall at two different levels at a distance of 30 meters. Lower level has 17 m3 of Gabion wall and the upper level near Chautara has 90 m3 of Gabion wall above which people and livestock can walk easily. As the stones required for the wall construction could not be extracted from the landslide area, the stone was brought from Kadesh/Dovilla River and the private land of Hira Bahadur Kaucha which are located at a distance of 1 km and 400 m respectively. In order to manage the water flow from the spring, a 90 meter plastic pipe was used which safely drained the water near a rivulet in Chautara.The water was also used for drinking and irrigation purpose. Likewise, in order to retard the surface water flow in the Gaja forest, a 60m long check dam has been constructed above the main landslide area and 80m channel ( 10 m clay built and 70 m concrete channels) was constructed for the safe disposal of water. Nearly 6,000 plants had been planted.

In order to conserve Gaja pond, a Gaja Daha (Pond) Conservation Committee was established. With the support from the committee and local women group,nearly 180m long wall with 60 width and 50 cm height was constructed so as to retain water. Likewise, a separate 45m wall was also constructed for separate water for which was used exclusively for cattle.
