Gampong Teungoh is 150 Ha and was one of the hardest hit along with other 13 villages on the West Coast of Aceh. The work in progress along the Samatiga coastal line will include Gampong Teungoh and Suak Seukee to link the coastal village sof Pucok Lueng to Lhok Bubon. The population of Gampong Teungoh is 371 people (117 households) consisting of 190 men and 181 women.
SSGF funding was planned to support the establishment of locally-led economy institutions (LEM). The grants will be used to build LEM house; to provide working capital 10 small vendors; to procure 25 units of fishnets and fishing equipments; to furnish handicraft and workshop.

The activities in Gampong Teungoh were halted due to lack of leadership in the village. The old community leader Geuchik was taken by tsunami and the new one was not elected by the community. Community will resume the SSGF supported activities in June after the new leader is elected.

All projects with support form SSGF and GEF SGP is organized through the partnership with Yayasan Pembangunan Kawasan who agreed to provide mentorship and ensure finance and narrative reporting in timely manner. The YPK will manage five bank accounts for each respective village to ensure accountability.
