Community Based Socio-Economic and Sustainable Livelihoods Recovery after Tsunami Disaster in Suak Pandan Village, Samatiga Subdistrict, West Aceh District
Suak Pandan is 400 Ha and was one of the hardest hit 13 villages on the west coast. The population is 443 people (158 households) consisting of 190 men and 181 women. South-South Grant supports the establishment of a community-owned building for village economy gathering and operational space, the working capital for village economy start up under the coordination of Lembaga Economy Masyarakat (LEM), the microfinance packages for women?s groups for small food vendors, 25 sets of collectively owned fishing gears and the establishment and operating community workshop for handicraft and small scale wood work.
