Now Western Kazakhstan is the area with active investigation and extraction of hydrocarbonic raw materials. Such kind of economic activities fatally reflected on ecological situation of the region. Due to strong concentration of hotbed gases over the region the temperature has raised up to +45 degrees C. Thus, reduction of traditional fuel sources and increase of efficient use of alternative energy sources has become actual.

The purpose of the project is promotion of alternative energy use. In particular, creation and introduction of mini-shops fort processing mushrooms with use of solar energy is planned. The activity will demonstrate local community group members potential opportunities of alternative sources use so that in the future they could continue the process themselves improving livelihood and assisting in keeping environmental balance in the area.

This planning grant 1)enhances the degree and the quality of community and stakeholder participation in the project design and development, 2) provides the grantee with access to relevant scientific and technical expertise to ensure that the project has a sound scientific and technical foundation, 3) provides access to technical assistance in sound project design and development
