Reducing the influence of population on ecosystem of Aktash village through use of solar energy, organization of fruits and medicinal plants drying.
The project is going to be implemented in the remote Aktash region. It is high in the mountanious area that is why there are no decent communications and the electricity is cut oftentimes in the winter time. The local population is cutting trees and bushes for more sustainable energy supply. That is why there is a great antropogenic pressure on the environment. Also due to the poverty and the climate pecularities of this region local population gets sick very often and there are no sufficient medicine. This region is rich for all kind of herbs which could be dried out and bring not only health but also material profit to the people. The local population already picks the herbs and berries but there is no opportunity to sell them out because they go bad that is why the NGO is planning to organize a drying factory. Their plans are to purchase a drying device and make a place for the storage. Also the purchase of solar collectors would help to reduce the pressure on environment and provide people with ecologically safe and clean energy. The NGO in the course of the project is going to conduct educational seminars and tranings on solar collectors and drying technologies. Establish combined solar drying devices, organize collection and sale of wild fruits and berries. The NGO is going to cover not only the adult population of this area, there ecological corners are going to be organized in the secondary schools. The agitation boards are going to be established to inform the local population about the project. And the information campaign is going to be conducted during the course of the project. The project is going to supply new workplaces for people and improve the overall situation of the people in this area.
