Suak Panteubreuh is 600 Ha and was one of the hardest hit along with 13 other villages on the west coast. The population is 265 people (75 households) consisting of 199 men and 66 women. To build socio-economic institutions along the Samatiga coastal line, SSGF supports the establishment of a community-owned building like the Gampong Cot and Suak Pandan.

The LEM Karya Mandiri of Suak Penteubreuh was granted $20,000 to establish the house for LEM and venue for community meeting. The funding also provides microfinance packages for women?s groups for small food vendors; procurement of cattle for animal rearing in 30 families; and furnishing agriculture supplies for women. The house for LEM was already erected by the community and functions as expected.

The process of project development through participatory meeting led by YPK facilitator is crucial in reaching consensus among the community to manage the current of reconstruction aids and technical assistance to benefit the future generation.
