Monitoring Emissions along Highways
The proponenet conducted an intensive monitoring program of vehicle emissions and used the results of this monitoring to highlight the risks to human health and the global climate caused by pollution resulting from transport movement. The study results formed the bases for new standards and monitoring has become part of the vehicle annual testing requirements.

Capacity - Building Component
Cooperation with other concerned agencies such as the Traffic Department and the Public Security Department, the Royal Scientific Society and the Universities enabled an NGO to address an issue that would normally be seen as a difficult undertaking for an NGO. The study was made available to graduate students doing research in related fields.
Promoting Public Awareness of Global Environment
Several public awareness activities were held using the results of the study which clarified the impact of pollution caused by vehicle emissions on the global climate and human health.
