Appui à l'ecotourisme communautaire en marge du Parc National des volcans
The project aims at reducing the pression of riparians communities on the Volcanoes National Park (where we find Mountain?s Gorillas in the Northern Rwanda) by improving their access to water and support community ecotourism activities.
A community center was built where local community?s members can dance and exhibit other cultural products for tourists and earn some money. Rain water harvesting tanks were also built for the surrounding community in order to reduce entrances in the park. The community has an interesting story to tell as they have built schools, roads,? with the money earned from tourism activities. SGP is not the only funder.
