Sanjiangyuan, the origin of the Yellow River, Yangtze River and Lancang River, is known as the Water Tower of Asia as it supplies fresh water to over 40% of the world population. It is also the leading demonstration area of ecological civilization, with complex ecological environment, rich biological diversity but extremely fragile ecological system and difficult life for herdsmen.
