The SGP Country Programme Strategy (CPS) for OP8 is the country's strategic framework for implementing the GEF Small Grants Program during the OP8 period. It identifies priority environmental and sustainable development challenges, defines strategic outcomes, and targets, and guides the allocation of grants to community-based organizations and civil society partners. The CPS ensures that SGP investments are aligned with GEF-8 programming directions, national development and environmental priorities, and local community needs, while promoting innovation, inclusiveness, resilience, and transformational impact at the landscape and seascape level. It serves as the principal reference for grant-making, partnership development, knowledge management, and monitoring and evaluation throughout OP8.
