Report on a consultative meeting held by Women in Energy Sierra Leone Limited in March 2024 to address energy access and usage among vulnerable women in Sierra Leone. This initiative was driven by a rapid assessment conducted through Community Engagement Campaigns and Beneficiary Selection processes. In 2018, eWomen Sierra Leone received $5,000 from GEF SGP to empower youth through social enterprises like waste management and female-run keke-taxis. Success led to $20,000 more in 2021 for building schools with plastic-bricks made from waste, gaining national and international recognition.

Youth Emergency Auxiliary Service Sierra Leone, supported by the GEF Small Grants Programme, launched an agroforestry and land reclamation project to restore 50 hectares of degraded lands, benefiting 500 people in Nongowa chiefdom, Kenema district, Sierra Leone

In 2024, Sierra Enviro Hope, supported by GEF Small Grants Programme, trained 345 rice farmers in Northwest Sierra Leone on safe agrochemical use through hands-on sessions on two demonstration farms.
