An article in Wind Energy International, published by the World Wind Energy Association (WWEA), tells the success story of how an SGP project in Mali is reducing greenhouse gas emissions while improving livelihoods through providing water for income generating activities.
The project was implemented by the Mali-Folkecenter, an NGO whose mission is to promote renewable energy and energy efficiency, the sustainable management of natural resources and the use of these resources to catalyse economic growth and sustainable development by working in partnership with rural populations and local entrepreneurs.
