Project Characteristics and Results
Promoting Public Awareness of Global Environment
Learning and experience sessions will be held to further support the scaling up of conservation approaches in other communities. This approach will expand on experiences from the pilot project and foster better understanding of project results. Other communities will get to involve in the same project, thereby creating a space for competition. The essence of this is to create opportunities for learning and sharing experience for replicability and scalability of success stories and lessons learnt.
At the end of every step, results will be assessed and documented; monitoring and evaluation tools will be developed to track deliverables and results.
Emphasis on Sustainable Livelihoods
Our sustainability strategy is to ensure full participation during the implementation period of the project by Ensuring adequate stakeholder dialogue and multi-stakeholder processes using a collaborative and participatory approach in order to strengthen mutual respect across sectors and organizations and change attitudes and overcome tensions and conflicts, increase shared understanding of the issues; enable all stakeholders to speak from their experiences in a conducive atmosphere.
In order to sustain results achieved, the project will ensure:
-Quality engagements
-Develop partnerships
-Ensure effective learning and sharing
-Develop organizations at community levels
-Build technical and functional capacities of local communities
-Develop monitoring and evaluation plans to monitor change
-Develop community based forest management plans
-Develop community fund raising strategies to sustain activities after the closure of the project.
