Profiling biodiversity and planning for sustainable forest management in the Kambui Hills forest reserve
The goal of this project is to assess the current status of biodiversity and develop a Sustainable Forest management Plan for 3 forest zones in the Kambui Forest Reserve. It will also build capacity, improve livelihoods and reforest degraded areas within the forest using indigenous plant species and raise awareness on sustainable natural resources management.

Project Characteristics and Results
Promoting Public Awareness of Global Environment
Assessing and Zoning of the natural resources and promoting sustainable conservation of biodiversity in the Kambui Hills project will be monitored at all levels starting from project planning and designing, implementation and monitoring and evaluation stage which will include the record of both success and challenges. There will be reports at the end of every phase written on all project activities and submitted to the donors and implementing partners. A comprehensive report will be produced by the project management at the end of implementation which will be submitted to the donors and other key stakeholders. Also successful outcome of the project will be communicated to all stakeholders and the general public in the form of, radio discussions, newspapers articles and the newsletters. By successful implementation of this project, the results obtained will be replicated to other areas of the country that have potentials for zoning establishment.
Capacity - Building Component
The project will implement knowledge management strategies that will conform to the implementation process. These strategies include;
Data /information collection ? information on the zoning of Kambui Hills can be sourced from cultural values of the site local view about conservation of biodiversity and sustainable use of natural resources can be obtained from communities through consultation meeting, perception survey of local adjacent communities etc
Data / information analysis ? all information or data collected at all level of project implementation will be analyzed and challenges identified and resolved at that point.
Documentation of information ? information obtained at all levels of the project including activity reports will be documented in project file at the office and copies sent to donor and all key stakeholders
