The Sustainable Organic Farming and Solar-Powered Drip Irrigation Project (
The Sustainable Organic Farming and Solar-Powered Drip Irrigation Project (SOF&SPDIP) is a bold attempt to save the small farming community in Lalehun Kovoma and to promote economic, nutritional, environmental and agricultural practices. The climate is right to launch a comprehensive environmental and health paradigm in disproportionately impacted small farming communities. A growing awareness of environmental injustices and health sacrificing exploitation in the country has spawned an embryonic environmental justice movement in Lalehun community.
The Sustainable Organic Farming Project (OFP) is intended to promote the economic viability of organic farming and solar powered irrigation as an appropriate method and technology for increasing participation by small farmers, particularly women and youth in the farming sector.
