Chadiza sustainable forest management
The project's main objective is to contribute to sustainable environmental management through the reduction/control of land degradation, thereby contributing to Poverty Reduction, Food self-sufficiency and Food Security and ultimately contributing to Economic Growth.
The specific objectives are as follows:
1. Reduce the destruction of land resources in affected areas
2. Promote sustainable use of land resources
3. Increase public awareness and information dissemination on matters of land degradation
4. Introduce and improve on assessments, planning and monitoring systems for the effective
management of sustainable forestry management
5. Establish partnerships with local, multi-lateral and bilateral institutions in the management of
SFM areas.
