Both the print and electronic media will be involved in the dissemination and awareness process through the implementation of the project. Periodic radio discussions will be aired through the commonly radio stations. involving the beneficiaries themselves on the essence, impact of their lives and communities. An information management and storage system will be established, and proper reporting mechanism will be adopted to encourage transparency, and this will make the implementing body more accountable. There are plans to replicate this Project in other land degraded areas in the country as mining, timber logging and firewood fetching could be seen all around the country

Community engagement meetings will be conducted during awareness raising and sensitization sessions whereby stakeholders in the affected chiefdoms will be given an active role in the planning of the project and a steering committee is established for decision making process and prioritizing the felt needs. The Coordination /Management committee of the National Farmers? Cooperative Union (NaFCU) for the effective and smooth running of the project will adopt the following steps: Identification of two (2) pilot communities in Kpanda ?Kemoh chiefdom ? Bonthe district which has extensive mining, deforested and eroded lands due to mining, timber logging Charcoal Burning and fuel wood cutting. Registration of Farmer Based Organizations (FBOs) in the identified pilot communities with fifty (50) farmers each using.

The planning of the project will involve the affected youths and women who have expressed the type of intervention that will alleviate their stress Undertaking tree planting ensuring reforestation and other climate smart activities on overturned and degraded soil. They will promote replenishing soil fertility by raising animals whose dung /faecal residues will improve on the soil fertility ( act as organic manure).Activities designed for the women and youths will create livelihood opportunities for categories of persons? targeted.. As a result, the living standards within the target communities will be improved income level.

The National Farmers? Cooperative Union (NaFCU) which has been established over 7years now still encounters challenges and constraints in pulling together resources to impact on the achievements of the members. Clouded with the current economic stagnation and inadequate national resources, farmer Organizations have a common challenge to cater for the client farmers. Even so there are difficulties in improving on the various value chains. Ultimately, the local smallholder farmers remain to be at subsistence level. The main strengths of the National Farmers? Cooperative Union (NaFCU) and its constituent Farmer based Groups FBGs high group cohesion, teamwork, and pursue common objectives. There is a demonstration of willingness to contribute both in cash and kind for the progress of the Organization. The membership holds completeness as a motivating quality to undertake extensive but realistic projects

The Project has a focus mainly on women and youths to be engaged in Bio- diversity activities with special provision of small ruminant and reforestation of over cultivated, over grazed and deforested land as well as transfer of knowledge by providing trainings to promote equal access to national resource available for women. These endeavors are key to increasing women's social and economic protection, gender equality and participation in economic development. The project will provide capacity building and innovative gender-sensitive, economic and social initiatives for both men and women. These initiatives will promote women's rights, including the right to be heard, and raise income as a factor to underscore women's full participation in their communities. Rural women and youths having many roles and responsibilities and good knowledge base differ from those of adult males in their communities. For example, as rural women farmers, they plant, weed and harvest crops and even tend /rear livestock. However, measures to reduce the inequalities that exist between men and women are been put in place. For example, Women and youths are been voted into strategic positions. This kind of move will ensure that distributions of inputs, selection of beneficiaries at various levels and checks and balances will establish effectiveness and becomes attractive t to women in fulfilling their potentials that can make them prosper and grow. To foster this idea, their needs and rights must be addressed.

The project will provide capacity building and innovative gender-sensitive, economic and social initiatives for both men and women. Transfer of knowledge by providing trainings to promote equal access to national resource available for all shades of the population especially women and youths women will be carried out using the farmer ?to-farmer approach by adopting the Participatory Learning Alliances (PLA). All reports and documentations will be managed by the secretary of the Project including minutes of meetings held regularly. Beneficiaries will be given opportunity to learn more on agronomic and forestry principles and management as well as record keeping. Reports on project implementation will be shared among the various stakeholders in the project. Disseminating and adopting the improved technologies in Re-forestation and livestock shall be popularized in other similar affected forest communities
