Cashew Community Composting and Biodegradable Utensils
The overall objective of the proposed project is to create a climate resilient and self-sustainable community through the development of a composting program and the development of green utensils. With the introduction of organic composting, households and farmers can learn best practices of creating their own compost source, introduce a farm to table lifestyle and creating micro climates within their space. The expected results of this project is to drastically reduce the amount of organic waste that is entering our landfills, rivers and seas and by extension reducing the levels of greenhouse gases that enter our atmosphere. By creating environmentally friendly alternatives like organic compost or fertilizer and biodegradable utensils, the community will have sustainable income and/or green employment opportunities to meet the community?s needs with residents using their training to increase their standard of living.
