Conclusively, during project implementation gender inequality and disability concerns will be addressed as follows; - At least 30% of project beneficiaries will be persons with various disabilities. - 50% of project direct beneficiaries will be women and young girls - Advocacy activities will captured the importance of mainstreaming women and disabled people?s participation in community development discussions and in community decision making processes. - The Policy Literacy sessions of this project will capture Sierra Leone Three Gender Act of 2007, United Nations Convention of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and deliver them as part of the policy literacy education programs. This will empower local stakeholders with knowledge on how to enhance the equal rights of men and women, boys and girls in society. This policy literacy will also impart the knowledge of disability rights in governance of local resources. - Ensuring information material developed includes a gender aspect,and are disabled sensitive. - Ensuring women with disabilities have equal access to the training expertise, training opportunities and information available through the program.

The local stakeholders and youth leaders ( both abled and disabled) and ICFJPHR management team members that are in the PMC shall be giving different duties and responsibilities to carried out local stakeholders and youth leaders ( both abled and disabled) shall be charged with the responsibility to monitor the number of project beneficiaries recruited and how many of the beneficiaries recruited are benefitting. local stakeholders and youth leaders ( both abled and disabled) are also vested with responsibilities to monitor attendence of project beneficiaries to different project trainings,awareness raising,trees planting and other project related events. local stakeholders and youth leaders ( both abled and disabled) (abled and disabled) are aslo giving the responsibility to ensure that the implementing partner of this project utilise project resources accordingly,and both the youth and local stakeholders shall monitor to ensure that project materials purchased are of the finest quality and in the interest of project success and community benefit.

The organization has effective management systems from administration to project management. ICFJPHR has qualified human resources in different in finance, monitoring and evaluation, project management, community development, business Management, agriculture, Social Work and environmental sciences. The organization lacks the required funding supports to become a grants providing organization that would be providing grants to fund the operations of community based women and youth groups that are working with ICFJPHR The organization has an Environment Protection unit, but this unit is not regularly updated with information about changing trends in environmental protection and climate change.

The project has included and promoted the participation of indigenous community people at all stages of project design, and will ensure that indigenous people are included in the implementation and monitoring. Also the rights, interests and livelihoods of indigenous community people will be respected and are reinforced by this project. This project will also promote the wider application of indigenous knowledge, innovations and practices, and encourage the equitable sharing of the benefits arising from the utilization of such knowledge, innovations and practices

This proposed concept aims at impacting the following policies - Sierra Leone Forestry Policy of 2014, - Sierra Leone Biodiversity Policy of 2016, - National Protected Area Authority of Policy of 2003, and - Sierra Leone Environmental Protection Policy 2009 - Project Activities made provision for the conduction of 2 weeks policy literacy and analysis of the following policies the Sierra Leone Forestry Policy of 2014, Sierra Leone Biodiversity Policy of 16, National Protected Area Authority of Policy of 2003, and the Sierra Leone Environmental Protection Policy. This policy Literacy sessions/workshops and seminars will target and benefit 50 local stakeholders (mainly). These policy literacy sessions will increase the awareness and knowledge of community stakeholders and indigenous people about the existence of these policies and the provisions contained therein. Improved community awareness about these policies and it will also improve community participation in supporting the implementation of these policies at community levels. - Project Activities also make provisions for conduction of 2 weeks community capacity building workshops on methods and processes of establishing, adopting and implementing local bye-laws supportive of complimenting, realizing and attaining the goals, aims and objectives of Sierra Leone Forest Policy 2012 and Sierra Leone environmental Policy of 2009. - Project activities makes provision for increased community participation in afforestation, as a result project intervention will address a key gap noted in the Sierra Leone Forestry policy. - Project Activities also make provisions for local communities to establish and enforce local bye-laws supportive of complimenting, realizing and attaining the goals, aims and objectives of Sierra Leone Forest Policy 2012 and Sierra Leone environmental Policy of 2009.

will ensure that Best management practices, success stories, challenges, methodologies, techniques, strategies and lessons learnt during the implementation of this project shall be recorded and shared for communicated and for replication through; ? Local council meetings, ward committee meetings and community development committee meetings so that these bodies can fully understand the best practices that lead to realization of project results and challenges faced. Sharing such information with the relevant bodies above which will guide them in implementing future afforestation programs as well as guide them in sustaining project outcomes years upon project exit. ? Best management practices, success stories, challenges, methodologies, techniques, strategies and lessons learnt during the implementation of this project shall also be shared with UNDP Sierra Leone, Environmental Protection Agency, other local and international partners that are working on afforestation and environmental conservation related programs in Sierra Leone.
