Portable Water Purification Plant
This Project Proposal seeks to develop and construct a portable water purification and bottling plant in order to provide fresh and clean water to the residents of the three villages that form Gwezotshaa catchment area. The salinity of the water in the villages is high though classified as fit for human consumption on Botswana standard it contains salts that change the colour of teeth to brown and salts can cause kidney stones and other ailments that can be threats to lives if not attended on time. The cleaned and purified water produced at local level will afford most of the residents to access the clean water and brown teeth will be a thing of the past. The perception that the current supplied water causes hypertension will be busted or confirmed. Visitors to the villages will be spared the trouble of having to bring water when they visit, those in the village will not travel out to buy water from other places since bulk refills will be available locally. Besides bulk refills are much cheaper and affordable than buying bottled water from the shops. The execution of the project will follow strict adherence to specifications and once completed the board will ensure that the benefits reach the beneficiaries, in this case the community of the three villages.
