Environmental protection that benefits the rural and urban poor?fabrication and utilization of energy efficiency ELSA/KILN STOVE for the reduction of CO2 emission in households in Koinadugu District
The primary objectives of this proposal are: to contribute to exiting efforts in reducing CO2 emission in households and to serve as a poverty reduction strategy among rural and urban communities in Sierra Leone. A couple of strategic activities have been identified by this proposal to be carried out for the accomplishment of the objectives. These include among many, the conduct of campaign and training exercises as a way to shaping mind sets and directing attitudes and behaviors of target communities towards productive life engagement. During the project life cycle it is expected that the Elsa stove will be sold in community markets and used for cooking in community households as well; reduction in the pungent smell from wood burning in community bushes will all indicate achievement of purpose and will serve as justification of intent of the consultant.
