The idea of establishing a community development trust was launched on February 2022 by all ward development committees in Jwaneng and community members. The organization will works with communities across three main program areas: ebvironmental education and outreach, natural resource protection, and research and monitoring. The trust further intends to develop and educate Jwaneng Community into a commercial central marketing set up through sensitizing them about their environment and organizing them around their intended projects to establish practical ownership of their production methods, and also to create sustainable lives in Jwaneng even after Jwaneng mine reach the end. The trust will partner with the milieu communities to promote sustainable income generation and co-management of targeted lands resources in and around Jwaneng town
