The National Environmental Education Project is an exciting undertaking by Carbon Environmental
Awareness Society to bring public awareness and education to the effect of Global warming and
climate change brought about mainly by uncontrolled carbon footprint arising from our use or
consumption of fossils and its derivatives. The project will also target other environmental issues such
as waste management and natural resource conservation. This project will use a holistic approach to
environmental education through the use of different educational tools such as roadshows, workshops,
, cleanup campaigns, etc.The project will run for a period of 22 months targeting all age groups and
classes of community such as schools, churches, clubs, industries and other stakeholders in North East
District with the assistance of other partners and relevant government departments.
The project will commence in November 2023 until november 2025 in North East District, with the
possibility to duplicate it to other Districts as and when resources are available hence being a National
Environmental project. Currently consultations are ongoing since the opening of the GEF Call for
proposal particularly with relevant Local Authorities and Governments department In North East
District and we are confident for their partnership and participation during project and we hope to
have their commitment letters before commencement of the campaign. Further preparations will begin from November 2023 with all stakeholders on board to prepare the platform to commence the project
in February 2024.
