This is phase 1 of a long-term project to implement a community-based co-management approach to the conservation of a unique, pristine but threatened wetland system in southwestern Trinidad. This phase entails a feasibility study on the area's ecotourism potential. The results of the study will inform a potential community-based project centered on conservation of the wetlands through ecotourism.
